European training organizations or trans-national groupings of training providers can apply for support from the MEDIA programme to provide professional training in the key areas identified:

• sriptwriting and project development;
• economic and financial management;
• the use of new technologies

The training programmes offered must be pan-European.  Up to 50% of the training costs can be supported by MEDIA - 60% for training activities in countries or regions with a low audio-visual production capacity and/or a restricted linguistic geographical area.

Funding is also available to support the networking and mobility of European students in the audiovisual industry, in particular through collaboration between European film schools, training institutes, and partners from the professional sector.

The applicant consortiums must be made up of at least three Higher Education Institutions from at least three countries participating in the MEDIA programme.  Up to 50% of the eligible costs of the project are available. Up to 75% if one of the members of the grouping is based in one of the 12 new Member States.
