MEDIA MUNDUSThe European Union has adopted a new MEDIA MUNDUS programme, a broad international cooperation programme for the audiovisual industry to strengthen cultural and commercial relations between Europe's film industry and film-makers of third countries. MEDIA Mundus replaces the preparatory action MEDIA International. The EU will provide €15 million of funding from 2011-2013 for projects submitted by audiovisual professionals from the EU and third countries. The Programme will run from 2011-2013 and will capitalise on this growing interest and the opportunities offered by global cooperation of the audiovisual industry. The second MEDIA Mundus Call for Proposals has now been published. With a €5 Million budget this call focuses on actions taking place between 01/02/2012 and 31/3/2013 in the fields of Training, Market Access, Distribution and the Circulation of audiovisual works.
