Ireland has been a beneficiary of the MEDIA Programme since 1990 and as a small country has performed well particularly in the area of development.  Ireland received approximately 6 million Euro in MEDIA 1 (1990-1995), 8.2 million Euro in MEDIA ll (1996-2000) and 9.5 million Euro in MEDIA Plus (2001-2006).  The fourth edition of the MEDIA Programme - MEDIA 2007 -  has been in operartion since January 2007.
